USS Pampanito Build - as the Stingray from Down Periscope

This is the “Winter of the Sub” for me. About time I made some progress on my sub. I got started on this 15 years ago probably but soon found my skills weren’t up to the task :-( ahead flank and I can do this now.
Let’s look at what I have:
1/48 Scale Shipyard Balao hull and fittings
A blueprint from Scale Shipyard of the hull arrangement, slightly brown with age ;-)
Mike’s Subworks 4” x 12” pressure hull with motor and fitted end caps
2 brass props and shafts, with fittings…except 1 bushing/bearing seems to have gotten lost
Shapeways 1/48 Balao Fairweather

1st question

So I need to start laying in the major components to the sub. Am I right in assuming it all needs to be pretty well balance about the middle of the sub, bow to stern?
If so then I need to get the rest of the radio equipment for the pressure hull and start fabricating some framework to hold the main parts in alignment. I’m off to check out the vendor forum :-). If anyone has an up to date list post it up for me!
