I need help finding a sorce of miniature electric solenoids I have designed a mechanical torpedo system but need tiny solenoids to activate the weapons
please help I though clippard had some thing but its all pnuematic I want electric
Clippard does indeed make miniature electric solenoid VALVES, if that's what you are after. You can get them from SubTech or McMaster-Carr, though the McMaster catalog can sometimes make locating items difficult. thanks guys I think I will check the info from matt as the solenoid from subtech is based on liguid movement not mechanical I am looking for a solenoid that has a ram rod the moves in a linear motion in and out to activate the weapon system

I need a solenoid with linear motion the move out and in with a ram rod of sorts this will relaeas the tention on the firing pin and the weapon will exit the tube I know this wont get a great distance like the gas ones but I really dont like using that stuff nasty

ok here is the scopp I am done with the mechanical part of the torpedo system and now need to get the solenoids
but it does work I tub tested it tonight
how do I post pics here or if anyone is willing to host for me thats great
btw how would Imeaser the tourque load needed to get a correct solenoid or pounds/pull something like trigger pull how is that measured and where can I get one
