Futaba 9CAP transmitter on different RF channels

I think I asked this question before many moons ago but I've forgotten the answer.

I have a Futaba 9CAP transmitter with 2 different 50MHz RF modules - I am a HAM operator. I've been looking for a backup transmitter for my 9CAP on 50MHz with little luck.

But maybe, just maybe, I'm going about this all wrong. I believe - and this is where you correct me if'n I'm wrong - that I can acquire any Futabe 9CAP transmitter on 72MHz or 75MHz - it doesn't matter - and just remove the non-HAM RF module and plug in my 50MHz RF module and I'm good to go.

In other words, the operating frequency of the Futaba 9CAP is determined by the RF module and NOT by the 9CAP platform itself.

AM I correct? If I am correct, I should be hunting for Futaba 50MHz RF modules and not for the whole transmitter.

    Please advise.

Yes, the RF module for the transmitter, is a thing in the pass that gone around FCC rules. User can't change the frequency of the transmitter , only by a licensed tech.
but we change the frequency by change the module.
The module is the transmitter, so frequency did not change by the user , to FCC control gimbels, switches, lights battery, knobs/dial , covers. Etc . That is not parts of the transmitter to change the frequency.
FCC ID label is on the "transmitter module" not on the human interface.
    I may be wrong.
You can even switch out with 27, 34, 40, 50 ,72 (old 72), 75 433, 900 MHz or 2.4GHz, the "4 in 1 transmitter module, DIY stuff " ship from china most of them doesn't have FCC ID label. so you turn it on, FCC will come after you.

What's about the transmitter didn't has a module bay , but have the crystal tape over or glued down. So you don't tuch it, only licensed tech could change it. Is the law.
What's about all the car guys switch out crystal all the time at track. They are not supposed to. Ok only if the interface unit has a RF module bay.

I think I just give up my 5th.
