    Reccomendation/source needed. Type VII U-boat Deck Gun

    Hi folks.

    Decades ago I purchased a 32nd Parallel Type VII U-boat from a guy at work who was going through a divorce. The model was pretty complete except he hadn't purchased a deck gun for it. Now that I'm finally retired and several moves later, I'm wondering where I could purchase a deck gun for this model.

      Some ar using 3D printing services like Shapeways (https://www.shapeways.com/product/HD...li=marketplace) or purchasing a kit to add to the sub (https://hobbymodels.com/products/and...n-and-crew-set). You might be able to contact OTW and see if they will sell you just the deck gun (https://otwdesigns.com/type7-uboat/)

      others are scratch building their own.
      If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

          I believe that OTW still uses these for their Type VIIC kit.

          They have both the 88mm deck gun as well as the 2cm Wintergarten gun.
