    Another slow target

A few years back I stumbled upon a keel and frame kit for a 1/48th Wind class icebreaker. Being from the forzen, well used to be, north and having an affinity for ships with planes on them, I decided to give it a try. What follows is my attempt at the USCGC Eastwind, circa 1944. She is 67.75" in length with a beam of just shy of 16", a draft of around 6.5" and she tips the scales at about 110lbs.

Love it! Thank you for sharing!
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
