Did you reach out to Bob at OTW, Erich?

I've asked Bob several times if he would produce a WW2 X-craft. So far no luck. He does offer the X-51 class hull) Hopefully he has the plans.

          Hi

I hope you don`t mind me posting here BUT if your still looking for Xcraft plans, I might know of a source. I am NOT sure if posting a link to another site is welcome here so contact me privately and I will give you that website link. You have to join that site, it`s free, and there are some Xcraft sources there which should be able to help you.

I have master patterns for a 1/12 X-Craft hull. This was mastered by Alan Poole out of the UK. I only have the hull masters. No detail pieces such as hatches, periscopes, etc.

I have no idea what the demand would be, but the boat builds into a nice size, perfectly suited for a 3.5" cylinder. Here is a pic of the boat it builds into. I am just finishing up final trimming of this one and it will be off to the new owner.

                Bob,

                Very nice build! (as always)

What might it take for you to offer this as a kit that includes the detail parts?

I'd really love to have at least a half dozen people commit to buy before I invest several thousand dollars in cleaning up the masters (which are in serviceable, but rough shape right now), generating master patterns for all of those crazy details, getting the parts molded and then investing in cast kit parts. If those people were willing to provide a refundable deposit, I'd take a crack at it!

I'm also currently working on finishing up the master patterns for my own 96th scale Typhoon kit. That is priority right now (alongside customer builds). It wouldn't be a quick project, by any stretch, but if the demand is there, I'd be foolish not to try!

                      Bob,

I'll pony up a refundable deposit. Would be willing to help with some of the master patterns for some of those "crazy parts" as well.

I'd throw down a deposit as well.

Before we get really excited, I wanted to be completely up-front on timing. I love this boat, and I'd love to see it come into being, but I've got the Typhoon masters to complete as well as a ton of customer builds. Realistically, it might not be until early next year that I'll be able to get to this. Not ideal, I know, but better to be realistic and disappointed right now than optimistic and really disappointed 6 months from now.

Did I scare anyone off yet?
