    Depth - auto set

    Hi Forum,

    I am sure I am not the first to ask this but would like understand how this may be approached;

    Looking for a depth sensor (surface to boat) - I assume tis would be best achieved by pressure calibration. My objective is to seek auto depth set based on 3 presets (e.g. periscope, ~2ft deep and max depth) where the sub would rise of descend based on presets unless manual controlled.

    Also based on water type and elevation a trick script to reset surface pressures etc.. (arduino/pic AXE?)

    any pointers thoughts?

    Kevin McCloud makes a sensor to control depth. Check out Scratchbuildwithjohn for arduino projects like that, and look for tsenecal posts at https://www.rcgroups.com/homebrew-ha...del-boats-826/

      Check out the vendors section of the SC site for various options in this area. There are a plenty of sensors offered and used commonly to control this. Will O. has a great system he built that I had the privileged of seeing first hand run at perfect depth control using his piston type system in his I believe it was a German type 212. I could be wrong about that last part if so sorry Will. It's been a while.
