    Jersey Speed Skif

I recently finished the Legend Model Boats Jersey Speed Skiff. I built the kit mostly stock, but have installed a brushless motor and ESC. The boat was painted with Testors Model MAster Acryl on the inside, and Rustoleum rattle cans on the outside. The bright work was finished with epoxy finishing resin and Minwax Gloss Polyurethane. The model does have working lights. I scratch built the steering wheel, foot pedal, cleats, and chocks. I modified CAPT Roswell from the Lindberg ET model kit.

The boat is named SWAMP GAS with a hailing port of Grover's Mill, NJ - where the Martians landed in the Orson Welles 1938 radio broadcast of "The War of the Worlds". The racing number is JS-51, and CAPT Roswell is a member of the Yeti Yacht Club.
