Farlan,
What exactly are you looking for?
What type of ballast system are you using?
I build my own cylinders.
First thing is to locate where in the hull the cylinder will sit.
Then find the center or aft location of the sail.
I use this as my center of gravity or center of turning hull.
Then I place the ballast tank so located under this center point.
All the other equipment is placed according to where it is needed.
Main motor near rear cap.
Batteries usually near front to balance motor weight.
Rx can be placed to help balance boat at ballast center.
Basically, I balance the hull by placement of equipment.
Some can be moved around, some not so much.
I try to do this balancing of equipment in such a way that I do not use any foam.
My Skipjack has zero foam.
My George Washington on the other hand has more than I would like.
The GW is a very small boat and does not have a cylinder with enough positive buoyancy so foam is used.
The plan is to get the submerged trim center below the surfaced trim center.
If the surfaced trim center is the same as or lower than the submerged trim center, the boat will roll over on it's side as the boat dives and surfaces.
Keep the heavy equipment as low in the boat as you can.
I'm looking as to where all the screws and parts go in this thing. It has a zillion small parts.....I'm nowhere near putting it in the sub. It's eventually going into a 32nd Parallel Type XXIII U-boat....
