Test your knowledge! (Help identifying RC modules)

Can anyone identify what's in the attached photo?

I've been cleaning out the shop and came across these guys with no markings or instructions. Any help would be appreciated!

Just to make things fun, the first person who can identify ALL of the modules and does so in their post gets any one of these shipped to them for free!

    Thanks everyone!

The left six are all Thordesgn circuits from about 10 yrs ago. The left 4 are the last pitch controller produced by Thordesign. The next two are the last failsafes produced by Thordesign. I believe the far right circuit is a BeVR produced by Subtech. It could also be the Subtech early X tail mixer. I can't tell exactly by the photo.

Matt beat me to it, although I would have gotten the last one wrong.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I'm not sold on that last one. It's all sealed up with some black resin or plastic or something. It has prongs for RC input, leads for RC output, as well as a red and black wire. It also has a button, which I assume is for some sort of config command to it? X-tail would need two servo input and two outputs, no? and a BEVR would be just power in and out. I'm sure I've seen this used before, but I can't place it.

Let's see if anyone else can remember! Could be Matt's the winner, tho!

          Bob,

Can you place a close up of that last circuit up? My old eyes are really straining on that last circuit. I am 100% positive I am right on the other 6!
          Regards,

          Matt

I thought the last one was a on/off switch.

Maybe it's some sort of LiPo guard. BD
              A better photo would help.

                  That is a mystery.
Is there a plug on the two wires coming off the board?
It's got two switches, and looks like it would connect between the RX and a servo.
                  Where did you get it?
I will ask Kevin to check out the photos. BD

I big birdie told me I should come have a look at this thread.

I don't recognize the device, and it's not one of mine, but I agree with the speculation that it could be some form of battery monitor device. Red/black lead for power in, white/red/black for power out, maybe the header is for plugging in to the balance port on a 2S LiPo?

Of course it could go the other way and be some kind of electronic switch: White/red/black to Rx, red/black and the header are part of the switch, and the buttons are used to define if the "switches" are latching or momentary?

                    So many possibilities!

Was it the 'lesser spotted merriman'.

My guess is that it's a failsafe of some kind with battery monitor. Leads connected to the battery tell the module to blow ballast, perhaps?

Well, we might never know. I'll give kudos to Matt for identifying the vast majority and getting in here first. Matt, shoot me an email to bob@rc-sub.com and let me know if you'd like anything from those modules and I'll ship it over for free (be sure to include your address!)

Thanks, everyone! Your help is appreciated (and it was fun!)
