Howdy, fellow members. Just a quick post to say that I've begun a build thread, related to a little-known, 1860's era semi-submersible: the CSS Manassas.
I owed some favors to David Merriman, (who has often been a big help to me over the years, as far as my efforts to continually learn more and more about the craft of building models) ... so, the actual build thread is up on his site, instead of being located here. (No offense meant!) Some folks read pretty voraciously, regardless of where info originates, so it felt worth mentioning that the thread exists. Fans of that older technology would likely want to know about it.

For those who have a deep interest in submarines and semi-submersibles from the 1800's -- be aware that I also posted a full set of blueprints or working drawings (which I had permission to do, since I drew them myself). That's located in another message thread, which can be found on that same site.
