On a whim, I went to eBay and entered "r/c submarine" in the SEARCH engine. What came up seemed pretty strange. I don't remember seeing anything like these in any SCR.
These little guys are pretty cool, actually. I bid on one and got it for less than $20 delivered. Still waiting for it to come in the mail, but one guy at our local pond has one from Radio Shack that's great. It's a three channel dynamic diver... two motors that rotate up and down to provide thrust over about 100degrees or so.
Definitely not for use in a lake or big pond, but good enough for casual play in a swimming pool or fish pond.
