    X planes set up websites.

    G'day all,

I'm just wondering if anybody can point me inthe direction of some good websites regarding the X- planes arrangements for Swedish / german subs. I know that this set up is tricky but i want to know how it's done. Plenty of sites in Swedish just not in English that's all

    Regards,

      @ Jim Wheeler.

      @ Jim Wheeler.

I replied to your email from some time ago but haven't heard from you. Maybe your spamfilter is set so that hotmail doesn't get through or something so I'll try it this way.

I'd really like to see some photo's of your hull (Scale Shipyard is it?)

I do have planes for a Walrus class submarine. It's a plan made by the Dutch Navy. It doesn't show any fine details but I have a shipload of photo's including photo's that show it docked that do.

If you're interested I can order you a drawing and send it to you or you can contact the Dutch Navy yourself.
You can order the drawing for E11,34 at marhissec@marstaf.navy.dnet.mindef.nl with subject=Modelbouwtekeningen MARHIST-site
Send them your name and adres and they can supply you with.

Some photo's from the Dutch Navy website for inspiration

Skip w/ Subtech sells the electronic mixer for x-tail configured subs]http://www.rcboats.com/product_images/xmix.jpg[/img]

This may be the easiest solution to the problem. I hear it works much better than mechanical mixers.

From his site]Similar to aircraft "V" tails, the "X" stern configuration on submarines requires signal mixing to allow appropriate control surface movements.
A state of the art microprocessor controller converts standard left/right, up/down transmitter stick commands into appropriate servo motion to control the boat in a normal manner...left rudder = left turn, etc.
        Measures 1 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/4"

Alternatively I've you've got some electronics skills or (like me) horse around with them and get results by accident you can build one yourself.

I find it very satisfying to build stuff myself.
