    Echo II 675

The Project 675 Echo II submarines were nuclear powered SSGNs, equipped with 8 Shaddock cruise missiles in tubes on the deck. The tubes were raised to a 15 degree angle for launch while the submarine was surfaced. Like the diesel-electric Julliett class, the Echo II submarines had the "Front Door" guidance radar system at the front of their sails. The Echo IIs had the same twin reactor VM-A plants of the contemporary November SSN and Hotel class SSBN. Operational depth was 300 meters. A total of 29 were built.
