Found this at a craft store. Beadalon, Its coated 7 strand twisted stainless steel wire. It comes in many thickness. Even much thinner than the one I have pictured. It won't sag when it gets wet like thread. And it won't rust.

Right you are, sir! And dirt cheap, too. I bought a 40 ft. roll in the same .30mm size at JoAnn Fabrics for just a few $$. It was perfect for all the Gato railings, and the radio antennas as well.
