Hi from Madrid. I've purchased an universal battery loader, but have problems about Whath loading current to be used for each battery. For instance: What loading current to be used for a NiMh 12 V; 2200 Mamp/hr?
Are you asking about charging rates or discharging rates?
Either way, the current batteries can handle usually depend on their capacity and quality. Smaller nickel based batteries designed for receivers can't handle the current a Sub-C cells designed for radio controlled cars can handle, for example.
Your batteries can probably handle up to 2C (4.4 amps in your case) charging current, although 1C (2.2 amps) or 0.5C (1.1 amps) will probably lead to a longer battery life.
Something you might not know about NIMH packs is that they may "FALSE" peak the first couple of times you charge them. Keep an eye on the battery while charging and if it stops charging before a full charge is accepted, plug it back in and see if it will put some more capacity in it. You may want to charge your NIMH packs on a low setting, they don't like to get hot. You can push nicads while charging, but NIMH and LIPO'S are sensitive to this.
