Recommendation on Krylon - Good combinations

    Hi guys,

Just came back from the hardware store and I stopped by by the paint section. I've used acrylic paint to paint my model subs before, and I've never thought about a good combination for Krylon spray paint, hardware store got a whole array of them sitting there on the shelves... . Should I go ahead and use primer for the base coat or just go ahead and slap on some enamel?

    I use a sandable primer.

I use a sandable primer. Then if it is a nuke use Ultra flat black on top and ruddy brown primer on the bottom. They are dead ringers for the real thing. Dave.

      Thanks Dave, I remember you

Thanks Dave, I remember you replying to one of my early messages about paint last year(?) anyways, is the primer thick? If it is sandable that means it must've covered the hull and made it thicker somewhat?

It has some filler in it to fill fine scratches. Dave.
