    Voltage regulator for rx use?

Can I operate my receiver (4.8V) from a 7.2V 3000mah battery through a voltage regulator. I am running out of space for a RX battery and was wondering if you folks know of any commercial voltage regulators for this purpose or can I just drop the voltage through a resistor?

    Help is appreciated.

      Just purchase a BEC (battery

Just purchase a BEC (battery eliminator circuit).

      Subtech sells a unit-

Basically it's a regulator with a few added components. Saves a lot of messing about buying a turnkey unit though.

Also consider that most ESC (electronic speed control) units have a BEC circuit already built in.

I use the units available from here-
