HI everyone..
I wanted to provide an update on the DSRV Mystic project to show the stern shroud and complexity of the tilting shroud assembly which houses the prop. The Shroud on Mystic tilts for Pitch as well as Yaw. The RC Version will have to do the same. Although this model is the static version, think of the components as static versions of the RC gear... because basically that is what it will look like. For example, the tail Yoke Assembly will be similarly engineered as an RC Heli rotor.

Stern shroud components. The back end is like a mini-kit in itself! On the left is the tail cone, followed by the Yoke assembly above which is the prop hub. Next to those two items are the shroud support veins and finally the shroud itself.

Tail cone with Yoke assembly inserted. The Static version will have a Yoke assembly that will come all as one piece, whereas the RC version will have separate engineering for the stern yoke.

Stern Shroud assembly. The prop hub is inserted and it is all together showing how well it seems to go together.
At this point, all components are prepped and will be molded over this coming weekend. Then the first finished Mystic as a Static model will be heading out to the client at which point Mystic for Static display will be made available. The RC Version will be done right on its heels.
I will update again after molding! Comments are welcome... we are having a blast!
Marc
