SWM 2.75 WTC in ThorDesign's Permit - Will it work?

does anybody here have experience using small world models 2.75 or 3.25 WTC in ThorDesign's Permit sub? if so, which did you use? also, even if it would work, is it recommended to just use the D&E 3" WTC from David Merriman?

        Yes, but the 3.25 wil

Yes, but the 3.25 wil require a bit more expertise to install as it is a bit tight. You will also find it much more difficult to trim as the top of the tank is a bit of surfaced water level.

sorry, the 2.75 WTC is a twin shaft only and is still being developed for the upcoming 1/96 scale Gato kit to be released on 2005.

            I have a semi completed

I have a semi completed fiberglass 1/96 Skate class hull from Garry Gray. I have been holding back quietly completing this Skate as USS Sargo SSN-583 for hoping just such a 2.75 twin screw WTC would one day become available. Would this 2005 '2.75 WTC w/twin shafts' work in a 1/96 Sargo? My calculations say it would just make it! What will be this WTC 2.75 overall length?

            Thank you,

            Steve Reichmuth

              the 2.75" WTC should have

the 2.75" WTC should have the capability to have a single shaft...figured SWM would have some alternate endcap.

i want to use SWM WTC over the one from D&E miniatures, so anybody out there have experience using 3.25" WTC with the permit?

                I can tell you that

I can tell you that every Permit customer to date has used a D&E Miniatures WTC 3.00.
