SWM Blueback - just some questions

I was planning on getting this Blueback, but noticed a few things. one, was an increase in price ( or was it $750 for the delux kit all along?), plastic 5 blade prop (not metal), and a new motor installed? is this true? if a new motor is installed, how is the performance with just a 6cell battery pack? or is 7-8 cells still recommended? i'm sure i might come up with some questions later, thanks ahead of time!

    I retrofitted the new motor

I retrofitted the new motor Dave supplies into my old Blueback and it made all the difference in the world. It is faster if I give it the gas and a regular 6 cell pack runs for a good hour of "scale" speed running.

      so were u saying that

so were u saying that the new kits DO come with the new motor already installed? and that a 6cell bvattery pack will do just fine? oh, and i assume that the battery packs used are sub-C sized cells?

        You really should email Dave

You really should email Dave Manley for the real scoop on this, but I believe ones built in the last year have the new motors.

A standard RC "stick" 7.2 V battery pack fits.

I have noticed (at least in my older Blueback)that battery packs the have a "cap" on the end (below) don't slide in very well. I use the "smooth ended" ones as pictured above.
