At the risk of braving the headsman's axe (sorry Jeff
) I am wandering off topic here for a second.
Just a head's up to the Horatio Hornblower afficianados in the group, or if you saw and liked Master and Commander".
Two new episodes of the Hornblower series - "Loyalty" and "Duty" are scheduled to air tonight (12/2)and Wednesday (12/3) on A&E Network. 8 PM and 7 PM central time.
If you haven't seen any of these shows they are definitely worth a watch. Perhaps not quite as slick as "Master and Commander" but the writing and stories are first rate and the production values are surprisingly good with great care being taken for historical detail and accuracy.
For some reason, my wife doesn't mind watching this one with me (she was bored at Master and Commander). It may be because of the heroically-schnozzed "kid" that plays Hornblower seems to be attractive to women. I don't see it myself... Anyway, despite the inexplicable "chick appeal", I give the series "Two fids up"!
See more info on the A&E website.
