who small world models WTC - how do they work?

i was looking at Small World Model 2.75" WTC and was wonder how it works. I mean, i'm sure it works the same as the larger WTCs they sell, but i mean, it has the servos on each end for the rudder and dive planes and stuff, then is has a hole for the shaft to come out. but is the ballast tank A PART of the WTC? like where you see that brass cylinder thingy with the opening to the outside of the WTC? i'm just curious. oh, and is there anyone that makes a WTC smaller than Small World Models? maybe like 2.25 diameter?

It has a cam that pushes against the Propel release valve Or the vent valve depending on what you are doing with the transmitter.

Dave Manley at SWM is very good about answering emails. You can direct questions to him as well - he can probably explain it better.

This cutaway of an early SWM WTC from a Blueback kits shows it pretty well -
