POTENTIAL FOR A ONE-OF-A-KIND MODEL
and/or G7e torpedo details being discovered.
1. If you are thinking of building a 3-4 foot long German one-man torpedo (a submersible Marder) with a slightly shorter "daughter" or "child" torpedo, be aware of the following. There is a volunteer at the Mariner's Museum in Virginia who is rebuilding a Marder that they happened to have in their "bone yard" in the museum's back yard. He may have just latched onto a G7e torpedo to put under the Marder.
2. Building a 3-4 foot Marder will also give you the chance to have a humongo G7e with lots of new-and-interesting capabilities. There will be some decent info and imagery being obatined developed to rebuild this Marder.
3. If you are simply building working G7e's, this is a good opportunity to eventually get some decent close-up photos and details of a G7e.
