DISCITION - NAUTILUS SSN - 571 First Nuclear Sub

HELLO ,

I'm thinking very seriously for some time on the first Nuclear submarine , Nautilus SSN 571 ....

I started looking on the INTERNET and stored in the computer all I could found ....
Unfortunately I saw that , although there is been so many years , sense was launched / decommissioned , shapes plan and / or crossed sections of the submarine are not made public or at least declassified ( or did not know where to look ) ....

Therefore I thought to open a new thread with this Subject with the hope in my heart that there are something somewhere available ....
Many Thanks in advance to All for any information regarding this submarine .....

As to be understood about how I would like to do this project - if I have gathered enough information ]1Meter long and 8-10 cm wide[/b] .

You might have noticed, that I'm currently building the Nautilus http://www.subcommittee.com/phpBB3/v...p?f=35&t=12231
Mine will be 1:87 which makes her 112 cm Long and about 10 cm wide. So pretty much what you are planning.

With respect to plans: There are three or four different plans on the net all right in some aspects and all wrong in others. The blueprints you Show e.g. have way to many flood holes, the deck shape is wrong and the bow section seems to be wrong as well. The Problem is, that the US does not give away hull plans of nuclear Subs, no matter how old they are.

Yes I know You build a NAUTILUS .

The dimensions are perfect .
That plan is ALL I HAVE .
Can You point me by making a mark on those holes are not correct ?.
Regarding the shape of the deck and the bow section :
- unfortunately I don't have skills to redraw the plan just from small and unclear pictures from internet .

Because I don't have any other options I choose to use a different method to make it - if is going to be .

I saw on the You Tube all the Documentary I could find , but are big chance to miss a couple .
All the pictures I could find I stored in computer as I said before .
I'm looking for some unpublished picture maybe from Magazine or Books .

That's way I'm doing these Research . I'm not going to start Building it tomorrow or these Year .

In all that pictures it seems the deck is a flat surface on 99% of the sub and In my plan looks the same !.
Where is the wrong part of it ? , to correct ?! .

The width of the deck near the Stern seems to be too small.....
