    New sub from Revell

While not the announcement I was hoping for, it still is cool.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Looks the same as the toy sub Graupner used to supply.

They don't go too badly for what they are- they incorporate a small piston tank which is mounted vertically in the hull. This permits static diving, but you have no pitch control.

A chap brought one along to a Dive-in a few years ago. The thing almost got sucked into one of the filter vents, I suggested he whisk it out before it gummed up the works and ended up spat out in hundreds-and-thousands!

O.K. the last announcement was not earth shattering, but this is a small tremor.

Revell is releasing a new sub - in 1/72 scale
          Type IX C/40
          Product number: 05133
          Scale 1:72

          AND

German Navy WWII crew (submarine - it looks like)
          Product number: 05133
          Scale 1:72

Now, if we can get a 1/72 I-boat...

            Cheers,

            Dave

Oh yeah, that would be nice!
I just hope these subs continue to be profitable and Revell will continue exploring other subs!
