I received a request from a fellow modeler for reference photos for two Swedish subs: Gotland and Vastergotland
Anyone have any information and photos of these subs?
I can share a drawing I have of the Gotland.
It is missing a couple things but they are shown on other drawings.
When I asked about these missing items, the response was I was correct.
Basically the Gotland is an lengthened Vastergotland.
The hull was extended to add the Sterling section.
The sails are different.
The Gotland sail has straight tapered sides. The Vastergotland has a two step straight side.
On the Gotland drawing the bottom landing rails are missing but seen on other images. On this drawing I have put the bottom landing rails on the top profile. The location is correct. I asked about that too.

There are photos and there is a web page where there was a tour of the inside while it was in San Diego.

I have a link to a nice out off water HMS Neptun/Nackin class sub.
The boats was taken out of the water and refinished to be put in an indoor museum.
This video is the Neptun being transported dock side.
Unfortunately, this boat is the preceding class of the boat being asked about.

Also good to know is the RSS Swordsman (sold to Singapore's Ministry of Defence) is the HMS Vastergotland after upgraded where made.
My research has been on the Gotland. I really didn't keep anything on the other classes. Just read it and moved on.
The drawing I got from Kockums does not show any hull markings. Link to the drawing I received above. It was sized down for the net.
Sorry, I don't think I was much help on this boat. I'll look around the net and see what I can come up with.
