    USS Blueback (SS-581) Model?

I was wondering if anyone has ever attempted to make our little Portland icon. Last diesel electric war sub to serve the USN. I'd imagine it wouldn't take much, aside from the sail mounted dive planes.

Small World Models made a kit of the Blueback. Been OOP for a long time, but one may pop up here and there for sale.

I have been thinking for some time that it wouldn't be hard to convert a Skipjack into one. It'd just take some hull mods. The Skip is 1.5 feet wider and 16 feet longer. I mean, the Skips are based on the Barbels. Maybe after I build what I have now. I picked up a few models I knew were going OOP soon.
