    Atomic Sub's Skate

The pics are a bit dark. It would be nice to see the scribbing.

Is the sail fiberglas? It looks like the same material as the hull?

Do the bow planes operate, or are they fixed? And is there room to make them fold up and work? Advantages and disadvantages in doing so?

Skate is a smart looking sub!

    Carter,

    Carter,

The sail is urethane and is reinforced with carbon fiber. It bolts on to the hull like the rest of my kits. It is in PPG K-36 primer just like the hull, that is why it looks like it is the same material. The hull is my aerospace B25 epoxy resin. All of my resins are virgin cut material(not reject material as one flaming, retarded, idiot out there likes to spread lies as such.)

The pics are a bit dark. I apologize. I took them in a rush to get to Lyle. Lyle has a pre-release hull in his hands right now. Maybe he can get some better pics and put them out.

I am terribly behind in the production of this kit. I am buried up to my eyeballs in a job for Lockheed Martin for the USAF and Navy. I hope to wrap the project up in December when the UCAV will fly for the first time at Edwards AFB. I will finish it up ASAP when I return to the shop before Christmas, after the flight.

My apologies to Lyle and everyone waiting for this great kit. Lyle has been extremely patient and supportive of our team effort on this project. I promise that it will be worth the wait!

      Hi Matthew,

just curious...what does "virgin cut material, not reject material" about your B25 resins?
What's the max temperature that your resins can withinstand without distortion?
Here in Italy I found an epoxy resin that can handle 130 celsius degrees.

A few manufacturers meter in material whose shelf life is almost past into brand new material in order to cut cost and reduce waste. This does adversley affect the characteristics of the final product. Virgin cut material does not contain any of this type of product and is extremely high quality.
