Just joined the club yesterday, I have always been into RC but went to the Regatta in Carmel this past weekend and got hooked. I'm planning on getting an Engel Typhoon for my first sub, I know it's an advanced build but figured I had a year to work on it and a buddy of mine (crowman) said he'd help if I needed it.
Mike,
Welcome aboard. For me, this is one of the best hobbies out there. I have not been so frustrated, challenged, irritated as I have with R/C subs, BUT it has been the most rewarding too! We are all here to help and see you succeed.
Peace,
tom
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
Mike,
Had a great time chatting with you and Mark this weekend. Glad you joined. That's about what I did in 2000, went as a guest, meet with guys and learned a lot. Found out everyone was friendly, were willing to share ideas, and help if I asked.
