Name that model kit?

OK guys!
Here is a blast from the past.
Can anyone name this model kit?
The type is generic U-boat.
This was my first operational sub built in 1980.
It fell off a pool years ago and is badly cracked.
8 balls please don't answer although most won't know the company.
Ballast system was expanding water chamber and peristaltic pump.
I will give hints if needed. BD.
