Hi Paul C, Thank you very much for this. He did put a lot of stuff in that sub!! Cheers Tom
There's a chap in the UK who offers a waterjet cutting service to model boaters, he posted up details on Mayhem a while back. Might be of some use to you.

      Re: Type XXI 1:32

Hi, I have the hull, conning tower, turrets and front dive planes and that is it. I have a full set of Fritz Kohl drawings which show everything in great detail. What I don’t have is the rudder, rear dive planes and the horizontal stern plane where the prop tubes exit. I know Precision Pattern do a 1:48 scale kit but is anyone able to make these items in 1:32 scale for me? I was going to try it myself but It will never get done and I don’t want the kit sitting in my garage for years.
any help would be great as I would like to start this build
      Regards Tom

No offence Tom, but having seen that hull, it looks to me like it needs a heck of a lot of work to get some detail into it, and making the appendages is going to be one of the easier and quicker jobs.

Hi Subculture, No offence taken I understand what you’re saying. It’s just something I'm not that confident in doing and getting it right the other things that are needed to put detail in I'm quite happy about well I say that now!! Cheers Tom

              Outstanding!
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

                  Very very nice work.
Suggest you put some extra rope chocks in the blank portions of your sheet.
You could then glue the chock tops too tubes and have raised rope chocks.
But you said it was already to etch. Maybe next go round.

Very clean art work. You've done some excellent research on the details.

Will be quite interested to see how the PE conforms to the curvature of the Type XXI hull.

Hi Scott yeah good idea never thought of that got some other things to add, doors for the conning tower and if I can draw it the Fumo radar transmitter got a PDF of it not to scale though.

Hi Jeff thank you done from Fritz Kohl drawings, lots of books, pictures, Revel models etc its somenting close but not exact there seems to be so many different examples none of the details I have are the same.
