    Gene Berger sigthing

I caught up with Gene yesterday at the IPMS show here in Richmond. He's completely rebuilt his 32nd Parallel Balao (for about the 5th time) and he had it on display at the show. He also showed off an R/C Monitor, complete with rotating turret, smoke system, and hand turned brass cannons that will fire black powder. He's also working on the steamship United States. He had a scratchbuilt static Japanese mini sub there as well. Oh yeah, he retired about a year ago...

I only took a couple of pics. I wasn't able to stay, but I think he should have cleaned up, come judging time. Great to see him, and as always, his models are incredible.
