After doing the car thing for a while and as you remember I have many "Targets" that I have built over the years.. the latest being the S204 - S100 class "Schnellboot" 1/35 scale ...I am totally in love with that boat!!
I looked around and seen three subs I was once working on and then stopped construction...
My Kilo, Revell 1/72 VII (was running but took it apart - 5 years ago)and my Seawolf which has toy internals..which works.
So lately I started to work on the Kilo and "tub" tested it with good results so far.. I am just doing a basic setup for now as a dynamic diver since I have a lack of pools around me, only lakes which makes sense to me. My VII will also have the same setup at first until I get use to working with Subs again..that sub will have a different setup which I will share the concept of two PH's - one for the electronics and motor and the other for the batteries...but this can change as I go into it.
So yes an itch to finish building - also helps that I am way better off ($$)than 5 years ago. ... Amen.
I do have some videos of my boats that this group might like - some are flat out fun to watch...
My PT-109 (Lindberg) was slightly upgraded from the old 2 prop blades to 3 blades which made a very good performance change right off the bat, also jumping the voltage up from 7.2 to 9.6v worked wonders
