what speed control is everyone using?

hello everyone! old member finally getting time to get back into the hobby.

What speed control is everyone using these days? I'm just gettiong back into this have an older speed control (white plastic box) that is dead...but I want something that is scale in speed. boat speed controls seem to just go for speed, not scale appearence. I have a 32nd Parallel type XXIII that I'm trying to get together.

Seeing a lot of subs with MTroniks ESCs these days. I've had good luck with the ones I have. There are other good ones out there too. Just make sure that it will handle the amp rating of your motor(s) when if they are stalled.

I'll second the mTroniks for the ESC. They also usually come with a built-in BEC (battery eliminator circuit)....depends on the model.

These are rock-solid, and are even waterproofed!

I use Microgyros ESC. These are the best brushed speed controllers I have encountered, and are rock solid.

Ahoy there!
The boats I've built for friends and two buyers have been Vantec
Units. They make a lot of variations to choose from.
I have a dual in my 30 year old Gato and single units in my other boats.
