    British Chariot Colors

I have a 1/35th static "Model" (more a diorama) of a British Chariot. Anyone know of any good sources as to colors for this thing?

Contact these fine people. They can answer. I would think colors varied widely based on the theatre - North sea to Singapore areas and probably followed camo of the larger sister boats in those theatres. Research and share with us please.

See how schemes varied? See images attached here. Much to choose from! Got to get back to the shop, plenty out there! If you built scale plastic airplane models (IPMS), you might be used to everything having been researched for you, and assume it is correct. Often not where subs are concerned. Welcome to submarines! Here we have to do our own homework. This address above might get you started. Assuming submarines are just airplanes with smaller wings, most IPMS members would not survive this!

        Hey, thanks for the answers!

I may be an IPMS member, but I have a sub shelf with 8 completed kits and about 15 more unfinished.. I know it's not "buy X paint!" Let's talk 688i anhedral stern planes!

I've got two of Verlinden's Chariot kits kind of like this one and wanted to make sure I had the colors at least close.

Beware that the pictures are of X boats,
The chariot was a manned torpedo, so another beast
          altogether.

I expect such a small vessel to be painted some
dark color, not much color schemes like on
          bigger boats.
