Between customer builds of hi end subs ( thanks Bob Dimmack, Bob Martin and the rest of you bums), plastic display models I have been working on a 66 inch 5.5 foot model of the original series Star Trek Enterprise. All scratch built masters by hand. No CNC.
I have nearly finished the masters and will be making the RTV molds next. The final model(s) will be made from epoxy glass just like our subs and fully light with rotating nacelle lights.
To see the build you can go two places. My web site. Here's a direct link to the page for the build: http://sneillfx.com/page42
and my daily Blog]http://steveneill.wordpress.com/[/url]
After all. Subs are the fore runners to star ships. Sealed. Controlled environment. Large crew. Bridge. Functions in 3 dimensional space.
