Ken Griffin of Indiana has one of their Type IID kits and it is an example of mastercraftsmanship, which is typical for Ken. Ken has expressed his approval of the kit and supplied components. Drop him a note and speak with him.
I don't hand out email addresses without the recipients approval. Try sending him a PM. He frequents the SubPirates board under the username of KAGRIFFIN.
Sheerline (nee Eden) boats are very popular here in the UK, which is understandable as that's where they're made.
The kits are well respected, rugged and straightforward, although by far the most popular models appear to be the Akula and Trafalgar boats- the Type II is that bit more expensive as it's a more elaborate model.
Chris Cloke, who is Mr Sheerline posts regularly over on Model Boat Mayhem. His board name is Sheerline (he named the company after an old Austin Sheerline car he restored and owns).
