When I was a kid Voyage was my favorite show, so when I first saw the "windows" I thought you could see out of them.

        Bob,

I know the lower ones are, and not to step on a good friends toes,I believe the upper two sets are actually windows "dead lights". I was in the sail on the Nauitlus recently doing a technical assist.....(figure that, I do tech assists on a museum!) and the place were those "windows were are still visible from the inside where they welded plates over them. I guess doing work on her is kewl, how many people nowadays can say they have climbed all through the superstructure and has sat between the fwd MBT vents.......I have a pic somewhere of that.........I think it is on my old phone.........get back to ya"ll on that

          Tim,
Bob was right. Please reread the question. Casey asked about the windows on the bow. And yes working on the Nautilus is pretty cool, I've got some work time on her myself. I'm just glad it wasn't back in the day when all that nice radiation was around.

                  Re: What are these?

I read once that SEAWOLF 575 was a loud noisy boat. I know her liquid sodium reactor was replaced as it was a problem. I always wanted to see an rc SEAWOLF, but I don't think anyone ever did one. I really wished a model company had done a NAUTLUS that did it justice. The Lindberg kit was awful.

Casey, I dont know whether you are aware of it but Nukepower is involved in producing a Nautilus kit right now.
