I just came from checking out my friends new Engel Lafayette sub kit. I was very impressed. He ordered it on sat and got it yesterday. FROM GERMANY! WOW! It is a very complete kit needing only the R/C system and batteries. Lots of top quality parts, and nice looking epoxy glass hull. It uses a bayonet sealing ring to get into the hull. Very slick! I can't wait to see it in the water. Dave.

The sub is all dry
The sub is all dry hull. No free flood. It weighs about 20 lb. Not bad for it's size. They realy make good use of the space inside. They also run the prop on direct drive with a 12 volt 540 type motor. They are using a 2 inch six blade prop. They say it will do over 7MPH in the water. Thats FAST! I can't wait to drool over the kit again when my friend gets back from vacation. Dave.

I just wanted to add
I just wanted to add one more thing. While checking out the kit more I found an intresting item. It comes with a photo CD that has lots of pictures of the building process, and pictures of the real subs in that class. That is one cool idea! Nice pictures also. Dave.sigpic"Eat your pudding Mr Land"
