Type XXI Conning Tower Details

As soon as I get my new c/t for the Type XXI I`ll be adding a few details that I have noticed in the few pictures that I have.First I need to know if the dipole antennas on the roof of the c/t are retractable and the height of the antennas when the boat on the surface.I really can`t make out any of this in my pictures as most of my picts show the boats on the launch ramps or sunk.I have noticed in one publication that I have just received has the C/T of U-3018 pictured on the cover as photographed from forward of the c/t and it shows a vent or hole of some sort on the forward port side just below the sonar apparatus bulge.I would like any information that anybody can provide as It is not pictured on any drawing that I have.

It seems you have a set of plans that is not accurate. most of the information you are looking for can be obtained from any of the books printed about the type XXI
to put your mind at ease that vent hole or hole is on every type XXI that I have seen, and the dipole antenna's are retractable.

Yes I started pouring some of the sets for people and no I am not making the antennas for the kit.
