    A strange thing?

    Hi guys,

Bought this little boat off ebay, it's supposed to be a 1/96th scale Skipjack hull/sail moulding. It measures just under 23" long and it's just 3" in the beam. I have no idea of it's pedigree at all, when I got it it was really roughly finished, but an hour's work with a bowl of soapy water and some wet n' dry paper has got it looking much more presentable.

Now, a couple of questions guys, if you can assist me here:

At 23" oal, what scale would that work out to? It looks awful small for 1/96th to me...
What would you do with it...a surface running boat, or make it into a dynamic dive boat? I have a wtc tube which would just about fit into it for the radio gear, and leave the batteries out in the flood area?

    Pics below...I hope.

Its close to 1/128th scale. Looks like a freelance model, so may not have been have been made to a fixed scale.
Looks like it would be a good candidate for a bayonet type seal to maximise the internal volume, and no need to worry about building a WTC.

Funnily enough, that's what Andy said to do...

It's the most logical approach. The hull shape is a natural pressure hull.
