Congrats winners! Lucky for you I forgot to send mine in. I noticed the flyer hanging on my frig on Christmas day and thought, oh crap.

Now that this is over, it is painfully obvious that advertising this raffle in the SubCommittee Report is not the way to do things! I didn't receive my copy until after the raffle was over. Not that I wanted one, but, it is just the principle of the thing.

Sorry Mr. Commanding Officur, there has got to be a better way.

Sorry to see that you feel this way Big Jim, but what this is telling me, is that part of the membership is not paying any attention as to what the Subcommittee is sending them. Now I say this because a complete raffle flyer was sent out with the previous SC Report explaining the raffle in full detail. next the the raffle was well advertized on the website well inadvance of the raffle here again the raffle was explained in full detail with pictures as well. so this tells me that some of the membership dose not even pay attention to what is being posted on the the SubCommittee website itself.
So with all respect I disagree with you on this matter but respect how you feel about it.

I didn't get out my magnifying glass, but, I see no mention of said raffle in issue #78. Also nothing extra came in my envelope. Furthermore, not everybody has internet service or can keep up with everything on the web.

So I say again, this was a poorly run deal and the next time maybe someone other than the officers can step up and find a better way to promote the raffle.

As far as I am concered everyone how had anything to do with this raffle did one heck of a good job.

Look this is a waist of time so here is what I have to say if you think you can do better on our budget then step up and do something about it, so the next time we have a raffle you are incharge.
This is one of the exact reason members do not want to do anything because when it is all said and done someone has to find a reason to complain about it.
As far as everyone not being able to access the web that was the whole reason for the flyers.
So like I said next time we hold a raffle you incharge and running the whole thing, so you can do things your way, so we will see what you can do.
So please don't back out now you ask for this and you got it, I will be hunting for more donations for the next raffle
and when I have them Big Jim will be running it.

So instead of receiving issue #79, with its glaring FULL page memo from you, the self proclaimed Commanding Officer, too late to act upon said raffle, why didn't this FULL page notice come in an earlier issue in a more timely manner? Looks like derilection of duty to me.

As I said, there had to have been a better way. The next time something like this pops up, announce in a timely way and keep in mind that the Subcommittee Report doesn't come in a timely manner to ALL members. The timing of delivery hasn't bothered me in the past. I have lived through delays since I first joined the SC and have never complained about when the report reached my mailbox. The guys that put the SCR together are under enough pressure as it is. I'll read it when comes. I also don't give a fat rat's petoot about the raffle. However, I think that the entire membership should be informed of events in a timely manner in order to give all a chance to act in one way or the other.

BTW, I reserve my right to volunteer. Your pompus butt isn't going to ORDER me to do anything! I think this "Commanding Officer" crap has gone to your head.
