    Weld line article

Great article on weld lines in the newest SCR magazine.
Especially liked the title art work.
May have missed it in the article; but is the products used
to make the weld lines waterproof/water-resistant or is the
finish coat needed to seal it from the water if used on a RC
    boat?

Haven't been able to read the rest of the articles yet but the
look good as I flip through.

    Scott,
    I would say it's water

    Scott,
I would say it's water proof, it's for painting designs on fabric. And your right, it is a great article.

      inspired by this article I

inspired by this article I have done a few tests with nailpolish.
that's good for rivets. it leaves flat but visible rivet heads.
      you can still feel them.
the small ones in the picture are about a mm wide.

        Re: Weld line article

Sorry I haven't gotten to a reply to your post, I've been having computer problems and finally had to break down and buy a replacement.
Thanks for the kind words about the article. I tried to keep it simple yet informative. To answer your question, YES that stuff is waterproof and very durable. Once dried it has a slightly rubbery consistency, but ther only way you'll remove it is to literally cut or sand it off. Once you paint over it you'll find it to be a permenant part of the boat. The best part is, a bottle of that stuff is only 39 cents and will last forever! Hope that helps.
