My railroad empire consisted of period layout set in the steam/diesel transistion era of the early to mid fifties.It was 28x15 with a double track main line with a large yard and 12 stall roundhouse to service the locomotives.It was set in Wyoming with a focus on the Cheyenne engine terminal.I was able to run up to 6 locomotives under independent power on different parts of the layout.The lay out was designed to be able to run 100 car frieght trains that were powered by heavy steam and early diesel locos.
