URGENT Film maker wants to borrow Revell Gato in Toronto

Does anyone have a Revell Gato ready to go on patrol in the Toronto area?

I have a film producer that wants to video the model in a tank. Will pay expenses etc. but needs the boat by Friday.

Could be some fun and your boat would be famous. It doesn't matter which type of operating system you have.

Well, they've offered to put me up in a hotel for the weekend. Fly me up there from Rochester. (I could drive there faster when you consider all the BS at the airports). Dinner out on the town on Saturday night. Even mentioned Toronto's best strip clubs!

Since it HAS to be a Revell, and the timeframe is so short,
I wonder what this film is about ?

It seems very sloppy to start looking for a
prop as unusual/rare as this at so short notice. certainly for
a documentary or feature film.

is this perhaps about a commercial ? For Caswell inc. maybe ?

It might be wise for people to check what the images of their boat
will be used for. Before you know it it could be used to advocate global warming,
banning guns, or other despicable goals...

btw, If it is ok to film a static model hanging on threads and digitally coloring
the screen blue/grey afterwards you could perhaps widen the search a bit.

So do I. Customer has his reasons for not letting on. Actually, they bought the complete kit, then realised it would take more than 10 minutes to assemble and paint it. Hmmm! What can I say?

I believe both Bruce and Helmut who live in the general area both have Gato's, though not Revell.

For underwater footage of a Revell I already have it in the can so to speak.

I have photo and video footage of Crazy Ivan's Gato from one of my cottage Regatta's.



Perhaps I already have the stock footage he is looking for.

Don't recall Kevin or Rick actually building a Revell Gato. Will see them next week so will ask, but I guess that will be to late for you.
