What type of sub is this - ...and is there a model of it?

    Hi guys,

I saw a picture on the subcomitttee page of a submarine. I don't know what kind it is but I like it. I normally am just interested in world war 2 models, but I really liked this one.

So please help. Who knows what type this is and if there is a model of it, or where I can get plans of it.

    thanks in advance,

      This is Sub-Ed Tordal's USS

This is Sub-Ed Tordal's USS Benjamin Franklin SSBN-640 class sub built on my hull kit, this is a very nice running sub and Ed painted the model to look like his sub in drydock, back when he served on it.
I happen to have 2 of these boats in stock at this time.

                    Yes,

                    A JAMES MADISON Class (627-636)

                    Yes,

A JAMES MADISON Class (627-636) is a variant of the LAFAYETTE Class (616-626)

Identical in every way to the Lafayette's and originally to be part of that class, these boats were originally fitted with the slightly longer range Polaris A-3 over the A-2 installed in the first 9 boats.

Slight differences internally and in displacement.

                      Wow http://www.subcommittee.com/forum/icon_smile.gif thanks, now this

Wow thanks, now this is indeed very relieving
I happen got my self a static model of USS Andrew Jackson 1/200 from Revell, featuring interior look of the boat.

I'm not quite sure of the art box and color guide from the box. It seems too 'blue' ?

Maybe I can use the pcbdui (site) refered as guidance , but some pic seems to have broken link ?
