    If I did it I

If I did it I planned on making the lower rudder a full flying rudder like my 1/96 akula.... It was the only way to get it to turn in the lake!

      good points gentlemen. I was

good points gentlemen. I was thinking of something of a compromise between true scale and the sport scaling of the model itself. Maybe the best way to describe it would be a realistic represenation of the real thing with a size just large enough to do the job and not look clown like.
I think it can be done. I was thinking for the master that using the real soft balsa type wood I found at the hobby store or maybe that pink insulation board that can be sanded easily. I have some ideas on the master pieces BUT the molding part I'm gonna need some help with.

        I would recommend using something

I would recommend using something like MDF for your master of over those materials. Then what you use primer on it the foam wont melt. The balsa is a bit pourus I would thing to make a good surface.
I can take care of the molding for you if you like. Just throw me a couple bones for the materials is all I ask.

          I like using the Sintra

I like using the Sintra plastic for mine.
Tim Smalley turned me on to it.
It sands great quite easy to work with and excepts glue like CA very well. Thanks again Tim!! BD.
