    Looking for historical help

I am looking for information about a Japanese midget submarine that was mounted on a truck trailer and toured at least part of the country, specifically the Northeast, during the summer of 1950. the tour was sponsored by the Navy Club.
An article in my local paper unfortunately does not include a photo. The specifics of the sub are confusing too. Described as a "Koryu",a Type A(the Pearl Harbor sub), it was said to be 20 ft long, powered by batteries, with a range of 200 miles, and carried 1800 lbs of explosive in the bow. None of these specifics match up correctly.
Both Type A subs in the country can be ruled out, the one in Texas and the one at Groton. This appears to leave either a Kaiten, or the Kairyu that is also at the base in Groton. Again, unfortunately I can not find any evidence that this sub in Griton , nor the Kaiten in Texas, were ever loaned out for a tour.
Does anyone have any recollection or photos of such a creation on tour?
I've been working on this for four months and it is getting frustrating.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

      Thank You Gantu,
      I have seen

      Thank You Gantu,
I have seen that photo before, and I believe that was the "Pearl Harbor "sub, HA-19. That boat is now in Fredericksburg, Texas at the Chester Nimitz Museum.

            Gantu,
            Great pictures! Many thanks

            Gantu,
Great pictures! Many thanks for posting them. I believe those are showing HA-19. She was exhibited briefly in Fredericksburg, Texas during a war bond drive during the war, 1943, and since the 70's been on display at the Nimitz Museum there. The sub I am looking for was displayed in 1950and was sponsored by the Navy Club, not the Navy.
            Thanks Again
            Jonathan
