    Best Alfa Hull?

Hi guys, this is my first post on the subcommittee site so i thought i would introduce myself before i asked my question. I have recently started this hobby; my first boat was the dumas Akula. I upgraded it with a WTC from mike's subworks and have done numerous other upgrades to it. However now i would like to move on to a true scale model.

I have been looking at the soviet Alfa as my next build, but i am wondering which manufacturer makes the best hull for it? I am leaning towards the Scale Shipyards hull, however if any of you have a better suggestion please inform me.

P.S. i am really only looking at 1:96 hulls but i might look at 1:72 if some one has a really great one.

    thx

      wow you just missed someone

wow you just missed someone selling a scal shipyard alfa 2 days ago with everything ready to go. If you do pick on up I offer an upgrade kit to help bring it up to date with current info.

Personally I like the Thor alfa but you would have to find one first.

          Kehrer 1/100 Alfa

That Kehrer Alfa has a unique looking set-up of controlling her stern planes. Can anybody explain to me how it works?

                      yeah engel does not make

yeah engel does not make an alfa unfortunately. so i gave up waiting on the ever elusive alfa that wayne keeps talking about and ordered myself a scale shipyards Alfa in 1/96 scale. I'm going to do a build review on it when i get it.

By the way does anyone have another email for them, cause they are not responding to the one posted on their site.

Also anyone knw where i could possibly get my hands on a thor seawolf, i would love to build one of those.

                          Phin,

The email address on his web site is the only one but you must constantly send him messages and maybe, just maybe, he'll answer one of them.

Be sure and let us know when you receive your hull as I have been waiting around one year for a hull I ordered from him.
